Soar to new heights!

Hottentots Holland Zipline Adventure

Cape Canopy Tours operate a high-altitude zipline canopy tour in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, about an hour’s drive from Cape Town. After a short 4×4 ride up the mountain, you’ll travel through the treetops on a series of steel cables (13 platforms in total), sliding between towers with sweeping views of fynbos, forests and waterfalls. The experience combines thrills and education – local experts accompany each small group and point out indigenous plants, birds and mountain vistas along the way.

FAQ

Got Questions?

The full tour (including a safety briefing and the final hike back) takes about 3–4 hours. The actual zip-lining part is around 1–2 hours depending on group size. You should plan to arrive 30–45 minutes early to register and gear up.
Yes. Children as young as 5 years old (with a guardian) can usually go on the shorter lines. The minimum height/weight for safety harnesses is checked on arrival. Guides ensure everyone’s comfort, and small children can do a tandem with a parent if needed. Active seniors also do well since there’s minimal strenuous activity beyond a brief hike.
The tour operates rain or shine. The lines are very sturdy and park officials run tours even on misty days. Of course, safety is paramount: if lightning or very high winds are forecast, the tour will be postponed and you can reschedule your booking.
Tours can be booked online through their website (rezdy booking link) or by phone/email. They accept payments by credit card and local EFT. A deposit or full prepayment is usually required to hold a spot.
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and layers (it can be cool on the mountain). Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. The operators provide helmets, gloves and all safety harnesses, so you just need to carry a small daypack if needed. They advise bringing a jacket because weather up there is unpredictable.

You’ll pay the service provider directly when you make your booking. Any payment you make for your booking goes only to them; we (Hello Adventure) don’t charge them commission.
